The Shillelaghes deliver a batch of Emerald Isle good-time favourites on the evening of September 5.

The popular Katoomba Comedy Club comes to the Factory Bar from 7.30pm on 10 September. Previously based at the Avalon Restaurant, the comedy show will be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at our venue.

Friday 4 September – Vinegar Hill

Vinegar Hill is a Blue Mountains based acoustic trio bringing together the rich sounds of indie folk, roots and rock. Featuring Ethan Hannay on guitar and vocals, Skye Evans on double bass and vocals, and Matt Horam on drums and vocals, the group blends heartfelt songwriting with soulful harmonies and warm acoustic arrangements. Drawing on decades of collective musical experience, Vinegar Hill creates intimate, engaging performances that feel both familiar and refreshingly original.

Saturday 5 September – The Shillelaghes

The Shillelaghs dwell somewhere between a late-night session in a pub and a windswept road trip through the Irish countryside. This four-piece Aussie-Irish outfit blends Celtic soul with raw Irish energy. Armed with mandolin, whistles, guitar, banjo, bodhran and harmonies built for shouting along to, they deliver a high-energy mix of Irish classics, traditional tunes, and crowd-favourite anthems that turn every gig into a proper session. Equal parts heart, humour and chaos, they bring the spirit of the Emerald Isle and the grit of Australia to stages, bars and festivals wherever the craic calls.

Get ready for an evening of big laughs as Katoomba Comedy Club takes over the bar with an outstanding line-up of local favourites and internationally acclaimed performers. Headlining the show is comedy veteran Tommy Dean, renowned for his razor-sharp observations, quick wit and countless appearances on Australian television. Joining him are the brilliantly offbeat Amanda Gray and the wonderfully relatable Catherine Horan, delivering an unforgettable night of stand-up comedy.

Friday 11 September – Jean Marshall & Joel Fox

Jean Marshall and Joel Fox bring together a wealth of live performance experience in a beautifully crafted blend of blues, jazz and contemporary favourites. Featuring Jean’s warm, soulful vocals and Joel’s expressive guitar work, the duo breathe new life into well loved classics while uncovering a few hidden gems along the way. Their performances create an atmosphere that is both relaxed and captivating, making them the perfect soundtrack for an evening of good company, great drinks, and live music.

Known for his heartfelt songwriting and captivating live performances, Nic will be joined on stage by two exceptional musicians, Matt Tonks and Tommy Novak, for an intimate performance showcasing the new record alongside a selection of audience favourites.

Tilda Irene – a young singer-songwriter based between Canberra and Sydney. Tilda’s beautifully crafted songs explore memory, nostalgia and the emotions that shape our lives, drawing inspiration from artists such as Laura Marling and Florist. Since releasing her debut single Love Wish Dream in 2023, Tilda’s original music has been featured on Triple J Unearthed, Double J, and Triple J Mornings. She also composed music for the feature film Magic Beach (2024), directed by Robert Connolly.

Saturday 12 September – Ship of Fools

Ship of Fools is a Blue Mountains trio that takes audiences on a journey through folk, blues, Australian indie favourites, classic pop, and singer-songwriter gems. Blending acoustic and electric sounds with rich harmonies and decades of musical experience, the band moves effortlessly from intimate, reflective moments to lively, foot tapping performances, creating an atmosphere that is both warm and unforgettable.

Friday 18 September – Billy Parsons

Local to the Blue Mountains, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Billy Parsons draws from an eclectic stirring pot of influences – namely soul, rock, RnB and blues. Through his highly unique guitar style interwoven with masterful vocals, Billy captivates audiences with his highly emotive originals and diverse selection of covers.

Saturday 19 September – Rachael Kennedy

Rachael’s unique blend of alt-country, folk, and rock creates a sound that feels both familiar and fresh, reflecting her journey from the heart of rural NSW to the eclectic Blue Mountains, and all the places that have touched her in between.

Friday 25 September – The Orchard Boat

6.30 – 8.30 PM

The Orchard Boat invites audiences aboard for a musical voyage filled with charm, wit and exceptional musicianship. Featuring Rob Weule on gypsy guitar and Beejhan (BJ) Goodfellow on accordion and vocals, the duo weaves together jazz, Irish folk, French musette and quirky pop influences to create a sound that is entirely their own. With enchanting instrumentals, rich harmonies and playful storytelling, The Orchard Boat delivers an uplifting performance that is full of warmth, character and musical surprises.

Saturday 26 September – John Stuart’s Lonesome Orchestra

6.30 – 8.30 PM

John Stuart’s Lonesome Orchestra is a Blue Mountains ensemble led by singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist John Stuart. Blending folk, blues, country and old time influences, the group creates rich, atmospheric performances filled with storytelling, spirited musicianship and plenty of heart. From foot stomping tunes to beautifully crafted ballads, the Lonesome Orchestra delivers a sound that feels both timeless and distinctly local.
