July Live Music at The Factory Bar Katoomba

Friday 10 July, Ship of Fools

Made up of four seasoned musicians from the Blue Mountains live music scene, Ship of Fools brings together folk, blues, Australian indie and classic pop in a richly layered unplugged performance.

Expect beautiful three-part harmonies, thoughtful arrangements and a setlist featuring artists including Paul Kelly, Bob Dylan, Talking Heads and Fleetwood Mac. Their warm, eclectic sound makes the perfect accompaniment to an evening of cocktails and conversation.

Saturday 11 July, Skye Evans

Blending double bass, acoustic guitar and soulful vocals, Skye Evans creates performances that are intimate, atmospheric and quietly captivating.

Drawing inspiration from retro love songs, dusty blues and indie folk, her unique “disestablishment cabaret” style moves between haunting melodies and stripped-back storytelling, creating the ideal soundtrack for a cosy winter evening at The Factory Bar.

Friday 17 July, The Mountain Jazz Quartet

A favourite of the local jazz community for more than twenty years, The Mountain Jazz Quartet delivers an evening of sophisticated live jazz filled with soulful vocals, blues grooves, Latin rhythms and timeless standards.

Featuring Pam Allen on vocals alongside George Gerontakos, Osama Mustafa and Neil Sagewood, this talented ensemble creates a relaxed and elegant atmosphere that pairs perfectly with our signature cocktails and award-winning spirits.

Saturday 18 July, Tim Hay

Known for his husky vocals and inventive musical style, Tim Hay has become a favourite across Sydney, the Blue Mountains and the Central West.

Taking familiar classics and contemporary songs in unexpected directions, Tim’s performances combine playful arrangements with heartfelt storytelling, making every show both familiar and refreshingly different.

Friday 24 July, Scott Brinckley’s Tree of Us

Tree of Us brings together soul, groove and contemporary jazz in a relaxed and engaging performance.

Featuring Scott Brinckley on guitar and vocals, Pete Kennard on electric drums and Grace Young on fretless bass, the trio performs jazz standards with fresh interpretations and a touch of improvisation. Their effortless chemistry creates the perfect soundtrack for an evening spent unwinding over cocktails and shared plates.

Saturday 25 July, John Stuart’s Lonesome Orchestra

Join us for a special performance from four of Australia’s most accomplished musicians.

Led by renowned pedal steel guitarist and producer John Stuart, the Lonesome Orchestra blends country, western swing, blues and roots music into a rich and distinctive sound. Joined by acclaimed drummer Julia Day, guitarist Glenn Skarratt and bassist Dave Clayton, this talented ensemble delivers an unforgettable evening of musicianship and timeless songs.

Friday 31 July, Honey Hive

Closing out the month is Honey Hive, a smooth jazz duo featuring the golden vocals of Kristina Frazer alongside the warm, melodic guitar work of Karl Javernig.

Moving effortlessly between soulful originals, smoky jazz influences and timeless favourites, Honey Hive creates an intimate atmosphere that perfectly complements a winter evening at The Factory Bar.
