All five entries to the 2022 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards (ADSA) have won medals!
Gold for Mountain Devil Classic Gin, Silver for Mountain Devil Black Label Gin, Bronze for Mountain Devil Magic Gin, Bronze for The Devil Gin, and Bronze for Wild Dog Vodka.
These medals show further achievement for Blue Mountains Gin Company, which has been operating since mid-2021 and is rapidly gaining a following among gin and other spirit lovers within and beyond the region and aligns with the awards given in 2021 to our Mountain Devil Classic Gin and Mountain Devil Black Label Gin.
The ADSA awards were established in 2015 and developed in close consultation with industry experts. The awards are judged by Australia’s leading specialists in spirits and liqueurs and provide distillers with an essential benchmarking opportunity. The awards are allocated by an experienced, highly qualified group of judges under strict rules, including ‘blind’ tastings supervised by stewards.
In 2022, the ADSA awards attracted over 860 entries from 208 distillers, with 75 awarded Gold, 382 awarded Silver and 311 awarded Bronze.
This year there has been a shift towards craft spirits which offer great flavour sensations with the public tending to “drink less through drinking better”.
